“Sophomoric.” That is Chicago Democrat and Alderman Joe Moreno’s response to those of us who say his threat against Chick-fil-A is intolerant, hypocritical and discriminatory.
As it turns out, the political pundits and legal scholars — including scores of self-professed “progressives” — have almost uniformly argued that the alderman’s actions are discriminatory and illegal. Even the ACLU admits that this is “viewpoint discrimination.” The religious bigotry couldn’t be clearer.
Alderman Moreno should reconsider his exploitation of power and position to bully and intimidate a business that has a well-deserved reputation for financial success and good will.
Will Alderman Moreno now admit his error and apologize to Chick-fil-A and the millions of conservative people of faith he has offended, or is that asking too much of a liberal elected official from Chicago?… Continue Reading
This Chicago Tribune political cartoon says a lot about Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s values. In an embarrassing display of liberal irony, some members of the Chicago media have exposed the fact that Mayor Emanuel has a working relationship with Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan, a well known radical Anti-Semite who has praised Adolph Hitler, but rejected mild and meek Christian Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-fil-A because they do not share Emanuel’s values.
As a native Chicagoan, whose parents and grandparents were born and raised in the City, I can tell you that the embrace of Louis Farrakhan and the championing of radical homosexual politics ARE NOT Chicago values! Maybe Mayor Emanuel and Alderman Joe Moreno should just admit that they are demonstrating their own corrupt liberal political values…

The Jim Henson Company (yes, the Muppet creators) has decided to stop working with Chick-Fil-A and to donate the money it received from its work with Chick-Fil-A to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. This is what “progressives” truly think: Anyone who expresses the view that marriage is the union of one man and one woman is guilty of defamatory and hateful acts.
Some homosexual activists know no bounds when it comes to their arrogant demand that all of society accept their unproven, non-factual moral views. Some have organized the “National Same-Sex Kiss Day at Chick-Fil-A” for August 3. It’s offensive enough that a National Same-Sex Kiss Day exists at all, but for homosexual activists to urge homosexuals to go to a family restaurant that they know is patronized by conservative Christian families and kiss is an arrogant outrage.… Continue Reading

Obama promised to be the transformative, transparent unifier, one step beyond partisanship and politics. Was he the great and powerful Oz promised to America or the charlatan behind the curtain?
- Broke campaign promise to televise negotiations on health care bill on C-SPAN
- Asserted executive privilege to prevent Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department from having to provide documents on the “Fast and Furious” debacle that have been subpoenaed by Congress
Obama’s non-partisan, unifying actions:
- Proposed and passed a controversial and highly partisan health care bill that, thus far, has resulted in 30 lawsuits filed challenging the health care law, with 28 states as plaintiffs
- Told American people that the health care law’s individual mandate is not a tax, then had his solicitor general tell the Supreme Court it is a tax
- Undermining religious liberty by forcing religious institutions through his health care law to subsidize abortion, sterilization, and contraception or pay substantial penalties
- Provided federal grant money to Planned Parenthood in states that had voted to defund it
- Reaffirmed his support of abortion and pledged “to protect this constitutional right”
- Issued an executive order that enables U.S.

Wheaton College President Philip Ryken sent a letter to alumni today to share that the Wheaton College Board of Trustees has filed a lawsuit in opposition to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act mandate which “requires the insurance plans of religious institutions (except churches) to cover all government-approved contraceptives,” including abortifacients, or pay significant fines.
Wheaton College is joining the Catholic University of America in this lawsuit because of its concern for both the sanctity of life and religious liberty.
President Ryken has also written a letter to the Daily Herald in which he recounts the unresponsiveness of Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius to the thousands of comments the HHS has received in opposition to the mandate. Remember this next time the Obama administration claims to be above partisanship or when President Obama claims to be a unifier.… Continue Reading
Exclusive: Matt Barber shames black organization for buckling to ‘gay’ activists
As his re-election hopes dim, the mainstream “progressive” media continue to run interference for Barack Obama. It’s predictable. They no longer even try to hide it. They persist in slobbering on their over-hyped, under-capable would-be savior as his campaign collapses around them. The sycophancy is embarrassing and the desperation palpable.
Most recently, they’ve created a stir around the NAACP crowd booing Mitt Romney at the decidedly liberal group’s national convention in Houston, Texas. The activist attendees didn’t like the fact that President Obama’s presumptive GOP challenger intends to repeal Obamacare if elected.
Still, what you won’t hear from the mainstream media is the fact that those very same left-leaning activists gave Mr. Romney a rousing ovation when he pledged to defend the institution of real marriage from secular extremists’ ongoing attempts to radically re-define it.… Continue Reading
