How 5 Republicans Let Congress Keep Its Fraudulent Obamacare Subsidies

Graphic Health-care experts call it D.C. insiderism at its worst.

Written by Brendan Bordelon

The rumors began trickling in about a week before the scheduled vote on April 23: Republican leadership was quietly pushing senators to pull support for subpoenaing Congress’s fraudulent application to the District of Columbia’s health exchange — the document that facilitated Congress’s “exemption” from Obamacare by allowing lawmakers and staffers to keep their employer subsidies.

The application said Congress employed just 45 people. Far too many Republican politicians have decided to keep their heads down and their mouths shut when it comes to the very devisive and controversial issue of marriage redefinition.  However, that is not the case with U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and 11 fellow Senators.  They have re-introduced the State Marriage Defense Act, which upholds the traditional understanding and definition of marriage and protects states from the federal government’s efforts to force any other definition upon them.

Windsor that the federal government should defer to state ‘choices about who may be married,’ the Obama Administration has disregarded state marriage laws enacted by democratically-elected legislatures to uphold traditional marriage,” said Sen. Cruz. “I support traditional marriage and we should reject attempts by the Obama Administration to force same-sex marriage on all 50 states.… Continue Reading

This past weekend, Pat Brady, Chairman of the Illinois Republican party, was interviewed on Fox 32 about his political activity to help Illinois Democrats pass radical Leftist legislation to redefine marriage and family.  This conflicts not only with the Illinois Republican Platform and the National Republican Platform but also with the views of the majority of voters in the state –specifically members of Brady’s own party.  (Watch the video HERE.)

Political Reporter Mike Flannery begins by attempting to confuse the issue by suggesting in his first question that the private political activity of Brady can be seen as outside his very public and official position of GOP chairman.  Not only is this absurd, it is intellectually dishonest to try to bifurcate the political activity of the two.… Continue Reading
