The more optimistic among us may hope that the Republicans will nominate somebody who stands for something, rather than the bland leading the bland — the kind of candidates the Republican establishment seems to prefer, even if the voters don’t.

With 2015 just getting under way, the buzz of political activity makes it seem almost as if we are already in the midst of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Among the Democrats, Hillary Clinton is honing her message to appeal to the mindset of the left wing of her party, whose support she will need in her second attempt to get the nomination as the Democrats’ presidential candidate in 2016.

We are watching the wheels come off the most radical and dangerously incompetent administration in history. “I am not on the ballot this fall,” President Barack Obama proclaims, “but make no mistake: these policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them.”

This statement should be the final nail in the coffin for the Democrats. The GOP should be poised to win a landslide of historic proportions.

So why is there so much debate over whether they’ll win — at all?

The answer is crystal clear. The Republican Party needed only to choose any one of a number of national issues and campaign on them, offering the voters a clear conservative alternative. “Here’s What You Ought to Do” said the Fox to the Chicken

Scores of commentators have been rehashing the results of the November 6th election and advising the GOP on what it ought to do.  Let me say this to Republicans: only a party of fools would now take advice from the same media establishment that worked around the clock to ensure your defeat.  Instead of listening to the “talking heads” appearing on TV, both Republicans and Democrats would be wise to look at some amazing voter data from some truly large voting blocs.  They represent half of the American electorate, and their voting patterns have now been analyzed.

I don’t like breaking Americans into racial or ethnic classes, as I believe values of family, freedom and prosperity are universal virtues, not ethnic ones.  Still, there has been a lot of attention paid to the Hispanic vote.… Continue Reading
